The mission of Stichting Charity Fund Rijsholt has been laid down in the bylaws when it was founded.
The foundation’s mandate is to support projects – preferably based on humanist principles – that lead to increased independence for vulnerable groups, in the Netherlands as well as in the rest of the world. These are predominantly projects where the main goal is to enable children and women in backward positions (economically, socially) to lead an independent life above the poverty line, in dignity.
Charity Rijsholt prefers to work with partner organizations whose projects encompass a combination of targeting the individual and establishing lasting change and sustainable results. That these projects are mainly geared at education is for Charity Fund Rijsholt a given. The foundation does not condone differentiating on the basis of religion, race and/or gender. This, however, does not mean that Charity Fund Rijsholt will not support projects specifically benefitting girls and women, since they are often the most vulnerable.
Besides projects as described above Stichting Charity Fund Rijsholt also supports cultural organizations and/or organizations that serve the common good.
